Many brands choose to re-formulate their products in order to meet the Safe Cosmetics Australia's, Toxic-Free criteria. To date, the approved formulations for the Non-Toxic seal are made in a base of 95-98% Toxic-Free ingredients so we are considering raising the percentage criteria to reflect this. By comparison Certified Organics are permitted to use non-certified organic ingredients in up to 15% of the product formulation, so it makes sense that SCA allows some transition when it comes to ingredients and improving the quality, health and safety of Australian cosmetics.
